A tip on blogging that I learned from Amy Porterfield is to sit down with a
calendar…maybe 3 months at a time… and plan your topics all at once.
This way if you plan to post every Friday, then you will know in advance
what your topic will be and you’ll have time to prepare for it and won’t be
struggling last minute with what to post about.

actually doing at my computer. Right now I’m getting business cards on
vistaprint lol.
Some topic ideas: 1. How to pitch your services to your first potential
client. 2. After you bought your name (dot) com, what you should have on
the website as a new UX Designer, that will help you land a job or possible
clients for freelancing. 3. How to rewrite your resume or things that
should be included on a resume if you are making a career change into UX
Design.
Good advice on offline methods, it’s always nice to have these ideas
reiterated by someone. I myself prefer to brand a company name rather than
my own name. I believe society is more used to dealing with business and
its name rather than a person when seeking services.
More videos please. I know you have a family, a full-time job, and an
online business… but come on now… how can you not post video content
for 3 weeks. #wassupwitdat Maybe you could record a lot of content in one
day and just post at least once per week on youtube

as a web design student but I want seriously considering changing majors to
game art and development. I want to know what you think about this.

two career …i am designer and also musician can i promote both at the
same level and time? what do you reccomend?
I think if you have the skills and a place to display them like a portfolio
site you can still do well. You still gotta find a way to put yourself out
there. A photo speaks a thousand words so use them to your advantage. If
you cant get out in the real world you can still get out in the online
world. Best of luck!
I’d promote them separately. You should have a musician site which displays
your talent and availability and such as well as a designer site to detail
the design talent. Creating musician websites could be a great niche for
you as well and can use the fact that your a musician to promote that. My
thoughts 🙂

designers.
