I think the “Moo Size” is more like the standard UK size card. US cards
tend to be a little wider and shorter. UK cards are closer to credit card
aspect ratio.

someone told me about moo.com and how they used them for their campaign for
a political position. I’m definitely looking into this print company.

I recently used Moo.com to print my own business cards and I LOVE them! (I
even did a review video about them!) The paper quality is really strong,
so strong you can’t even rip the card that easily. Great company!
Going to look into old fashion press printing(forgot what it’s called ). i
think there is some guy in his 80s that still does it. Not as fancy as a
print job but it adds a nice old fashion feel that a standard print to
cardstock doesnt give.
For most printing i just hit up a local print shop. a lot quicker and get
to curse out the people when they mess up! even fedex is okay on some
stuff(although got to watch for printer streaking!). non national chain is
best though. :)
I use UPrinting and PSPrint for my clients and myself. Both have great
customer service, website is easy to use, and product comes out great. I
recommended GotPrint to a client, based on your recommendation, and we are
waiting to see how those turn out. I have been following Moo.com for years
and want to invest in some Luxe cards so badly but I have to be like “Do I
want to pay $70 for 100 cards or $20 for 500 and stick with regular stock
somewhere else?” But if you can afford it and want it that badly you will
find a way to get it. It reminds me of the “Why Your Business Card Sucks”
video, lol.
If my client is savy or already has a printer in mind, I will send them the
files and give them recommendations on where and how to get things printed.
I have met with the occasional client that would prefer me order the the
print for them. I have charged a handling fee on top of whatever the print
estimate runs just for the fact that I am spending time negotiating their
price, delivery, and setting all of this up.
When I was still in school and freelancing, I did have a bad experience
with a client that didn’t read the fine print when it came to turnaround
times and tried to blame me (didn’t work but she was still upset).
Basically thought her job would print & get delivered the next
day…Noooooo! The site (I will not mention) said Next Day Delivery but in
the bottom it said 48 to 72 hour production turnaround. You live in TN and
the printer is in FL. There is no way you are going to get your job print
today and delivered to your house tomorrow. So I make sure that no matter
who is ordering the print, I walk through that process during the brief and
set those expectations in advance. I ain’t got time for all that
foolishness. Lol.

printing services so i can apply them to my designs. Im just getting
started as a freelancer, Will these services help with advertising my own
small business and give quality to my customers?
Geeking out over print quality is cool and got me thinking. You know how
the brand is defined by the design of the materials maybe the quality of
the print can be a factor too. I mean say you print a business card for a
green company, the company will be interested to get the eco friendly cards
and if you print some business cards for a glossy/colorful magazine editor,
he’ll be interested to get a glossy card.
I love this video. I like glossy ads for my business. I use vista print
mostly. I would like to try Moo ….I do Photography…so I would like my
work on the cards.
I actually ordered letterhead sample first and also the biz cards sample
pack. I really need some stationary right now too. Okay basically it’s
like a Checkout but you pay ZERO for s/h unless you want it faster. I
elected for the FREE one for now. Thanks for the info. That helps to
actually see a sample before we waste money. GREAT idea Roberto! OKay I

there. I signed up for the MOOS letter on green page. I see Press KIts. I
think i see it’s under HELP/FAQ ORDER SAMPLE… OKay I think I’ve found
but just in case some others didn’t see. It was quite tricky and I was
pressed for time. LOL Cheers. I will order right now. So I clicked your
link, but then I went to HELP/FAQ… ORder Sample. Then you can elect to
order business cards and/or letter head samples. I ordered both. It states

filter? It looks kind of purplish around the edge of your desk. But keep up
the good videos.
Neat video! I’ve used Moo to make Luxe MiniCards business cards for my own
brand. I’ve also used their postcards to make branded bookmarks and ordered
their stickers (which are now all over my stuff). They make such great
quality products.

I like the video, maybe close up shots of the cards would give more
clarity.
Once I held a lux card for the first time, I was sold. I love my cards,
just wish they could have been letterpress also.

T shirt help desk uses the mini cards as tags for shirts, just an idea :)
